Steps in setting up a
postcard campaign

  1. Choose frequency:
    monthly or quarterly. Monthly
    mailers are most popular.
  2. Select recency (how recent). Select fresh new movers (last 1-2 months) or allow some settling-down period of a few months For example, dentists prefer to target prospects 2-6 months after people move to the area period.
  3. Structure your campaign appropriately, consider an ongoing rolling new mover mailing strategy. It is advisable to reach a prospect at least 3 times for maximum effectiveness. For example in the month of October, you target new movers who moved into the area in June, July and Aug.The following month (November) you can target new movers over July, August & September.That way, each prospect will receive a postcard 3 times if you keep mailing every month on a rolling basis.
  4. Pick target areas, select zip codes or radius around location.
